Generations of experience

My connection to India, from seeking the most amazing stones and helping me in collaboration with the very talented artisans (often illiterate) who hand craft every single element of every SIS piece. I will share our story in the blog, it has been, and is, truly amazing.
Ravi also brings generations of experience in hand crafted jewellery, he works tirelessly to get the best quality workmanship and really looks after people with a generous human spirit so we know we have talented, dedicated people happy to be working with us.
Ravi, you are worth your weight in gold.

Gemstone credentials steeped in history

Our stones are from the archive of locally renown Gemstone cutter Cha Cha, he worked much of his career in Royal roles. He left his earthly body early 2025 at the glorious age of 94. His 6 sons and many more grandchildren carry his legacy, they are all trained in the family tradition of gemstone sourcing and brilliant gemstone cutting, we use a lot of traditional Rose cut.
It's an honour to share my vision and have them find the right stones, from the right mines for us.
Handcrafting the Ningaloo Earrings

Designed for handcrafting

Each piece of Swimming in Stones jewellery can take up to ten artisans to create.
There is an intersection between technique and instinct that is undeniable. Families hand down traditional techniques through the generations, many are illiterate, from villages and ambitious for their children to be educated.
Many of the Ready to Play pieces are produced by hand in collets. The Demi Fine jewellery is still handmade but the CAD

Honouring traditional techniques
